Reggie Palmer
Reggie Palmer was born in Gary Indiana and raised in Chicago Illinois until moving to Marshall Missouri in 1988 to attend Missouri Valley College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Reggie also has 1 year completed towards his Master degree in Social Work, where he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City. While attending Missouri Valley College he met his wife of now 30 years. Reggie is the proud father of two boys Reggie Jr. and RayShawn. Reggie is also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren. Reggie and his wife were Licensed Therapeutic foster care parents in the state of Missouri for almost 15 years, where they had the pleasure of providing services for over 15 children in their home.

Reggie Palmer worked for Butterfield Youth Services (residential care facility for 21 years, where he also was the supervisor for 15 of those years. Reggie moved his family to the state of Florida in 2011, in hope to continue to encourage, empower and instill hope in the community. Since moving to Florida, Reggie has continued to work with the youth and has held several positions in this capacity; Independent Living Coordinator, Youth Career Coach, Liberty High School Jr. Varsity & Varsity basketball Coach, and Behavioral Health Technician. Currently Reggie works at IMPOWER as the Program Manager of “The Village”. This program houses young adults that are homeless and are a part of the foster care system. The youth in this program learn independent living skills, social skills, budgeting, and assistance with career planning as well as working toward securing permanent housing.
Reggie Palmer began serving God in many capacities over 20 years ago. He first received salvation and dedicated his life to God under the tutelage of Elder Charles Stephenson Sr. of then Aldridge Tabernacle COGIC in 1994. Elder Palmer served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Junior Deacon; he also served as the Sunday school Superintendent, District Treasurer, and Youth Minister. In 1999 he became a Licensed Minister, and in 2002 he became an ordained Elder. After becoming an Elder, he served as Assistant Pastor of Powerhouse COGIC for 7 years under the tutelage of Pastor Charles Stephenson Jr. Elder Reggie Palmer is now the Associate Pastor in the ministry at Mount Zion Tabernacle Christian Church, under the leadership and tutelage of Senior Pastor Stanley Murray. Elder Reggie Palmer continue to serve the youth and many families in the community in this capacity and is able to mentor, guide, and serve the community in the surrounding area as well as preach God’s word.
