
Senior Pastor- Overseer Dr. Stanley Murray

In 2001, Overseer Stanley L. Murray served at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor G. Christopher Clark, where he received his ministerial license to preach the Gospel. Later, he also served as an associate minister at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Rollie Murray Jr.
In 2011, Overseer Stanley Murray became the ordained Founder and installed Pastor of the Mt. Zion Tabernacle Christian Church, located in Orlando, Florida. Overseer Murray carries the title of Overseer as the National Director of Men under the United Covenant of Christian Churches. Overseer Murray acknowledges the unwavering strength and partnership of his beautiful wife and Co-Founder, Tameka Murray, with whom they share three wonderful children.
Overseer Murray was appointed National Overseer of Men by the United Covenant Churches of Christ, under the leadership of Presiding Prelate Bishop G.E. Livingston. Overseer Murray credits his late mother, Evangelist Mary Lee Murray-McMillion, with instilling in him a Pentecostal anointing in leadership, as well as family and friends who have believed in and supported him through the most challenging of times.
Overseer Murray is a retired Gulf War and Iraq War veteran of 22 years, having served in the U.S. Navy and the Naval Reserves. During that time, he worked as a police supervisor and instructor of Police Patrol, Defense, and Response Tactics. He also worked as a Subject Matter Expert in anti-terrorism countermeasure techniques aboard US naval warships and Bases. Consequently, this allowed him the humble opportunity to teach all over the world.
Overseer Murray is also currently the Senior Chief of Police for the Historical Town of Eatonville, Florida. His attributes include being a current member of the International and Florida Chiefs of Police Associations. Overseer Murray is also the current Vice-President of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and the Central Florida Criminal Justice Association.
Overseer Murray is a retired 28-year veteran of the Orange County Sheriff's Office (FL), where he was assigned to the community relations command staff within the patrol sectors of International Drive and Walt Disney areas. Overseer Muray served as the Assistant Squad Leader of Crime Prevention Techniques and was also assigned as the Lead Coordinator and Trainer for the Sheriff's Office Chaplains Unit.
Overseer Stanley Murray is a past Graduate Chapter President of the illustrious Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated of Metro Orlando. Overseer Murray also humbly serves as a volunteer instructor for the Metro Orlando Salvation Army.
For 18 years, Overseer Stanley, along with First Lady Tameka Murray, served as the CEO, COO, & Co-Founders of the WASSUP Family Mentoring Program, where more than 300 families have received services and resources in the Central Florida area. Overseer Muuray currently serves as a founding board member of the Central Florida MAN UP Mentoring Program.
Overseer Murray is a YMCA Adult Achievers Award Winner and alumnus, who was also a recipient of the Dr. John T. Washington Community Service Award from the University of Central Florida, as well as a recipient of the "Who's Who" of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Metro Orlando Community Blue Indigo Award. In 2024, Overseer Murray received the Lifetime Achievement Community Service Award from President Joseph R. Biden in Washington, D.C.
Overseer Murray holds a degree in studies, including a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Doctorate of Christian Humane Letters.
